Linalool is a monoterpene compound with various potential therapeutic applications in several medical fields. Previous studies have indicated the activity of linalool against cell lines; however, its high level of toxicity restricts its use. The aim of this study was to design and manufacture compounds with a novel structure that can be used for loading linalool, to reduce its toxicity and improve its reachable ability. We synthesized and characterized a new mol. for loading linalool onto gold nanoparticles (GNPs) capped with glutathione and conjugated with a CALNN peptide. Linalool was loaded onto the GNPs via the reaction of the surface groups of both linalool and the GNPs. Moreover, the target peptide could be loaded onto the surface of the GNPs via a chem. reaction. The cytotoxic effects of linalool-GNP (LG) and linalool-GNP-CALNN peptide (LGC) conjugates against ovarian cancer cells were investigated, as were the possible mechanisms underlying the induction of apoptosis. Our findings illustrated the significant antiproliferative effect of LG and LGC on SKOV-3 cells. The cytotoxicity assay demonstrated that LG and LGC were selectively toxic in cancer cells and induced apoptosis by activating caspase-8, the p53 protein, and various proteins involved in apoptosis. The present data demonstrated that LG and LGC have a high therapeutic potential and should be given particular consideration as anticancer drug-delivery systems, as LG and LGC were remarkably more cytotoxic against a cancer cell line than were linalool and GNPs alone. We concluded that LG and LGC are promising compounds that can be used for treating ovarian cancer (SKOV-3) cells via the induction of apoptosis through extrinsic and intrinsic pathways.

Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology published new progress about Anticonvulsants. 78-70-6 belongs to class alcohols-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C10H18O, Synthetic Route of 78-70-6.

Agatonovic-Kustrin, S.; Kustrin, E.; Gegechkori, V.; Morton, D. A review. In our society, anxiety and depression are serious health issues that affect a large proportion of the population. Unfortunately, drug therapies are not always effective and can lead to drug abuse, delay of therapeutic effect, dependence, and tolerance. Traditionally, aromatherapy has also been used for anxiety relief and mood improvement. The use of essential oils, in relieving anxiety and depression, does not have the disadvantages associated with currently used drug therapies. In-vivo studies on animal models have verified the anxiolytic effects of these essential oils and the interactions of their major components with central nervous system receptors. Therefore, it seems reasonable to argue that the modulation of glutamate and GABA neurotransmitter systems are likely to be the critical mechanisms responsible for the sedative, anxiolytic, and anticonvulsant proprieties of linalool and essential oils containing linalool in significant proportions. Popular anxiolytic essential oils are generally rich in terpenoid alcs. like linalool, geraniol and citronellol, and the monoterpene limonene (or citral). Therefore, other essential oils or formulations that contain these terpenoids as major components may serve as important aromatherapeutics for relief of anxiety.

Journal of Experimental Botany published new progress about Arabidopsis thaliana. 78-70-6 belongs to class alcohols-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C10H18O, SDS of cas: 78-70-6.

Wu, Boping; Cao, Xiangmei; Liu, Hongru; Zhu, Changqing; Klee, Harry; Zhang, Bo; Chen, Kunsong published the artcile< UDP-glucosyltransferase PpUGT85A2 controls volatile glycosylation in peach>, SDS of cas: 78-70-6, the main research area is Prunus UGT85A2 gene fruit ripening linalyl beta D glucoside.

The monoterpene linalool is a major contributor to aroma and flavor in peach (Prunus persica) fruit. It accumulates during fruit ripening, where up to ∼40% of the compound is present in a non-volatile glycosylated form, which affects flavor quality and consumer perception by retronasal perception during tasting. Despite the importance of this sequestration to flavor, the UDP-glycosyltransferase (UGT) responsible for linalool glycosylation has not been identified in peach. UGT gene expression during peach fruit ripening and among different peach cultivars was analyzed using RNA sequencing, and transcripts correlated with linalyl-β-d-glucoside were selected as candidates for functional anal. Kinetic resolution of a racemic mixture of R,S-linalool was shown for PpUGT85A2, with a slight preference for S-(+)-linalool. PpUGT85A2 was shown to catalyze synthesis of linalyl-β-d-glucoside in vitro, although it did not exhibit the highest enzyme activity between tested substrates. Subcellular localization of PpUGT85A2 in the cytoplasm and nucleus was detected. Application of linalool to peach leaf disks promoted PpUGT85A2 expression and linalyl-β-d-glucoside generation. Transient expression in peach fruit and stable overexpression in tobacco and Arabidopsis resulted in significant accumulation of linalyl-β-d-glucoside in vivo. Taken together, the results indicate that PpUGT85A2 expression is a major control point predicting linalyl-β-d-glucoside content.

Campos, Estefania V. R.; Proenca, Patricia L. F.; Oliveira, Jhones L.; Bakshi, Mansi; Abhilash, P. C.; Fraceto, Leonardo F. published the artcile< Use of botanical insecticides for sustainable agriculture: Future perspectives>, HPLC of Formula: 78-70-6, the main research area is review botanical insecticide sustainable agricultural practice.

A review. Recent decades have witnessed major growth in the use of agrochems. worldwide, – for maximizing the food production for a rapidly growing human population. However, the indiscriminate use of these substances especially the pesticides has led to the accumulation of toxic residues in food, soil, air, and water, as well as the development of resistance in pests. Moreover, pesticides affect soil enzymes, which are essential catalysts that govern soil quality. In order to meet the food security, it is necessary to produce more food, sustainably and safely, in a diminishing area of available arable land and with decreased water resources. Given this situation, there is an increased interest in the use of alternative substances to synthetic agrochems. that present less risk to the environment and human health while increasing the food safety. Promising results have been obtained using compounds derived from aromatic plants for the control of agricultural pests. Such compounds of botanical origin can be highly effective, with multiple mechanisms of action, while at the same time having low toxicity towards nontarget organisms. However, the large-scale application of these substances for pest control is limited by their poor stability and other technol. issues. In this backdrop, the present work discusses perspectives for the use of compounds of botanical origin, as well as strategies employing the encapsulation techniques that can contribute to the development of systems for use in sustainable agricultural practices.

Litsea cubeba essential oil (LC-EO), one of the natural essential oils, could gradually replace chem. synthesis food additive in food industry due to its good antimicrobial activity. However, the antibacterial mechanism of the LC-EO is uncertain. This study took methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) as the research object to exposit its antibacterial mechanism. Research findings indicated the destructive effect of LC-EO on MRSA cell membrane, leading to intracellular biol. macromols. leakage. Whats more, the Hexose Monophophate Pathway (HMP) and its key enzyme (glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase) activity of MRSA were also inhibited after LC-EO treatment. Finally, the UV absorption spectroscopy result revealed that the key component of LC-EO (citral) could react with DNA in the form of chimera.

Couteau, C.; Morin, T.; Diarra, H.; Coiffard, L. published the artcile< Influence of Cosmetic Type and Distribution Channel on the Presence of Regulated Fragrance Allergens: Study of 2044 Commercial Products>, Synthetic Route of 78-70-6, the main research area is contact dermatitis cosmetic distribution channel fragrance allergens; Allergens; Fragrance; Makeup; Personal care; Skin care.

Contact dermatitis linked to cosmetic products is a very common reason for visits to the dermatologist, and in more than half the cases, it is due to an allergic reaction. The aim of the study was to describe the common fragrance allergens in different categories of cosmetic products available on the European market. The influence that the product category and its distribution channel (retail stores and specialized stores such as beauty institutes or hairdressers and pharmacy) have on the prevalence of these allergens was evaluated. The Kruskal-Wallis test has been used for statistical data anal. There is a wide range of fragrance allergens, the most common being limonene (found in about 30% of products tested), linalool (just over a quarter of the products tested), and benzyl alc. (approx. 16% of the products tested). The average number of allergens found and their nature varies depending on the type of product in question (maximum number for shampoos and oral care with about 70 allergens and min. number for nail polish and makeup for eyes with fewer than 10 allergens). In the area of hygiene, deodorants and oral hygiene products are particularly noteworthy, the former for their significantly high number of allergens and the latter for their low number There is also a significant difference between the number of allergens found in eye makeup and foundations. Our results indicate that the number of regulated fragrance allergens is particularly influenced by the type of products.
