General procedure: A solution of 4-toluene sulfonyl chloride (4.58 g, 1.2 equiv) or methanesulfonyl chloride (1.9 mL, 1.2 equiv) and pyridine (2 mL, 1.3 equiv) in 20 mL CH2Cl2 was added slowly to the solution of compound 11 (0.02 mol) in 40 mL CH2Cl2. The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, filtered and evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by column chromatography using petroleum ether/EtOAc = 1/1 to give the product 12.
