D.; Heron, B. M.; Instone, A. C.; Thomas, D. A. Partington, S. M.; Hursthouse, M. B.; Gelbrich, T. Eur. J. Org. Chem. 2003, 7, 1220; (2.379 g; 9.07 mmol; 1 eq.) and CuBr (0.260 g; 1.814 mmol; 0.2 eq.). The solution is stirred vigorously for 20 h and extracted with DCM and washed with a saturated solution of NH4Cl. The organic phase is dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated under vacuum.
