To a solution of (4-Aminophenyl)methanol (1.50 g, 12.18 mmol) in CH2CI2 (20 ml.) was added TBDMSCI (1.84 g, 12.18 mmol) and imidazole (0.91 g, 13.40 mmol). After stirring for 1 h at room temperature, the solution was diluted with brine, and extracted with E-tOAc. The organic extract was dried (Na2SO4), filtered, and evaporated.
