Field studies with repellents were conducted against Aedes communis, A. dorsalis (I), and Chrysops discalis. Diethyltoluamide was twice as effective as standard M 2020 [dimethylphthalate 40%, dimethyl carbate 30%, and ethyl hexanediol 30%] (II).
