An intermol. multiple dehydrogenative coupling between ketones RC(O)CH2CH3 (R = Ph, thiophen-2-yl, (E)-2-phenylethenyl, etc.), cyclohexanone and nucleophilic amines NHR1R2 [R1 = H; R2 = Ph, pyridin-2-yl, morpholin-4-yl, etc.; R1R2 = (C2)2O(C2)2, (C2)5] or boronic acids ArB(OH)2 (Ar = Ph, furan-2-yl, anthracen-9-yl, etc.) using inexpensive copper(I) oxide as a catalyst was reported.
