A method for the synthesis of the title compound is reported here. The synthetic sequence involved a condensation of tert-butylamine (i.e., 2-methyl-2-propanamine) with ethylene oxide, chlorination, cyclization, hydrogenation, debenzylation. The target product was characterized by 1H NMR and MS and its purity was also tested by GC. Exptl. result showed that the reactant in this synthesis route was easily available and it could be applied to industrial production (no data).
