In this study, a novel Cu-immobilized ionic liquid (IL) I · 3Cu(OAc)3- 3(H2O)was designed, characterized, and employed as both promoter and solvent in the synthesis of some dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazoles II (R = C6H5, 2,4-(Cl)2C6H3, (CH2)2CH3, etc.; R1 = H, 4-O2NC6H4).
