In this context, the aim of the present study was to describe for the first time the chem. composition of essential oils obtained from leaves of these two Erythroxylum species. The present study contributes to the phytochem. studies of this genus, especially concerning volatile substances. Moreover, these are the first chem. investigations performed with Erythroxylum ovalifolium and Erythroxylum subsessile. The experimental procedure involved many compounds, such as 3,7-Dimethyloctan-3-ol (cas: 78-69-3) .
