The reaction mixture was heated at 50 C for 12 hour. The reaction mixture was filtered and the filtrate was evaporated. The residue was purified by chromatography (EtOAc/Hexanes: 1: 1 to EtOAc) to afford 4-(4-iodo-lH-pyrazol-l- yl)butan-l-ol (4 g, 75%).
