It was stirred at 0 to 20 C for 0.6 h. The solution was diluted with water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic phase was washed with water (100 mL x 2) and brine (100 mL), dried (Na2S04), filtered and concentrated in vacuo to yield the crude product. It was used for the next step directly.
